my mission is to provide inspirational and supportive interactions on your road to well-being.
My particular passions include:
- Creativity coaching, which falls under the intellectual dimension of the wellness wheel and merges my work as a teacher, writer, and wellness coach.
- Do you have a creative project you've been wanting to tackle? Do you have a work-in-progress that's been sitting in a drawer (or a laptop file) that misses you? Maybe you know that your WIP needs you, but something's keeping you from diving back in? Maybe that something is...fear? Step by step, with you at the center, I will be available to support your creative journey so that you can mindfully step away from fear, ask the important questions, and reignite your creative joy.
"Art opens the closets, airs out the cellars and attics. It brings healing." -Julia Cameron
- Nature-based mindfulness, which is a holistic approach to healing and growth where interactions with nature are offered to help people with stress.
- On our Wellness Walks together, we’ll walk for 20 minutes allowing time for conversation and social connection, then we’ll pause for a 15 minute standing yoga practice, and on our return walk, we’ll practice mindful silence. We’ll end with a five-minute share-around of a word, thought, or goal that came to mind during the session. The interactions remind us that we are part of ecosystems, and as such, we have the internal capacity for growth, connection, balance, and peace. The elements of nature serve as a partner on the road to well-being, offering a sense of connection and reciprocal support. Can be offered to individuals and/or groups.
“Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate.
But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.”
- Robin Wall Kimmerer

What is Wellness Coaching?
Wellness coaching stems from positive psychology so that coaches are trained to help clients look at possibilities rather than problems and causes. Similarly, coaches support clients as they implement mindfulness, if it is something that the client is interested in adding to their own agenda. The skills of coaching are intended to support client-led self-identified wellness goals.
Both psychotherapy and health coaching draw from the same theoretical frameworks to help clients facilitate change, so skills and scope of practice overlap; it provides an opportunity for professionals to acknowledge that they exist along a continuum, with ultimate goal being to support clients’ mental and physical well-being. However, wellness coaching is not a mental health service.
The intention of the coaching process is to establish a partnership between us, where you are at the center, and I am here to support you as you discover ways to determine what your unique wellness goals are that you want to achieve and to discover ways to succeed and sustain those goals. Although I have some experience and a knowledge base, you are the ultimate decision maker, and the nature of our sessions are intended to be collaborative and focused on what you know is best for you.
